Designing the Future: Delivering Sustainable Grid Connection Infrastructure brings together project developers, asset owners and delivery partners to explore how we can efficiently deliver reliable grid connection assets that can reduce the whole-of-life impacts while improving constructability and cost certainty. The workshop will examine practical pathways to optimise infrastructure footprint, embed low-carbon materials and design choices, and apply emerging global approaches to substation and transmission connection design and delivery. Participants will also explore supply chain considerations—availability, lead times, local content, circularity, and assurance—to support scalable delivery in fast-growing markets. The session will combine case examples, facilitated discussion and take-away actions to help teams move from sustainability ambition to repeatable design and delivery decisions.
