Alan Todhunter

Statement: Alan Todhunter is a materials and durability scientist with over 30 years’ of experience as a technical consultant in the construction industry. Since 1991 Alan has been engaged as a consultant and expert witness in materials performance and durability to the construction industry. Since 2014 Alan has been an external specialised consultant with BCRC Pty Ltd as Material Scientist & Durability Technologist. Alan is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Since 2014 Alan has lectured in materials science at Western Sydney University. Professional affiliations as NSW Secretary of the Australian Institute of Building (MAIB) and NSW President of Materials Australia including being a Certified Materials Professional (CMatP) with Materials Australia (Technical group with Engineers Australia). Alan is also a Federal Committee member of the Australian Ceramic Society.
