Jacqueline Rachelle Yee
Jacqueline holds Board Directorships at MC Investment Advisors (SG) and at Aksara Alternative Asset Management (AU). She is Partner and Managing Director at Macallan Capital, where previously, she ran the Europe and America desks overseas; and, she is partnered with Viriathus USA, heading the Merchant Banking capabilities. Jacqueline is a seasoned investment banker and an experienced alternatives investment director with expertise in special situation investments and know-how spanning the full debt-equity capital structure.
Starting her investment banking career at Bankers Trust Australia financing Property and Construction sectors, Jacqueline has since garnered an international track record advising and financing over USD25+billion in cross-border assets – ranging liquid, illiquid and real assets across multiple sectors – in different countries spanning EMEA-USA-APAC.
A returning Australian, she has worked 15 years abroad at Société Générale Investment Bank (UK+FR) and BNPParibas-Fortis (NL+US+UK); and, with private equity & alternative investment groups - Opus Special Situations Fund (LX+ID), MC Private Credit Fund (SG) and VMB USA. Jacqueline began her professional career at E&Y NZ with secondments in HK/China working on Insolvencies and Turnaround assignments prior to becoming Head of Special Reviews (M&A and Restructuring) in NZ.
In Europe, Jacqueline grew a Global Special Situations portfolio to EUR15+billion through the GFC and beyond, improving asset values multifold. In the MENA region, she worked on co-investments in cross-border Infrastructure developments (Energy, Oil & Gas and Government sectors). In NZ, she was seconded into the NZ Treasury and Ministry of Health on projects restructuring hospitals and improving outcomes for stakeholders. In Australia, she worked on the turnaround and recapitalisation of Distressed and Infrastructure Assets (e.g. Stadium Australia post-2000-Olympics), and privatisations in the Transport and Energy Utilities sectors, and commercialisations of Technology and Life Sciences R&D innovations.
