Nick Robins
Hi, I’m Nick Robins, Head of Safety at Stockland. My focus is pretty simple: help our people and partners work safely, confidently and without unnecessary complexity. After more than 20 years working across construction, property and major infrastructure around the world, I’ve learned that strong safety performance always comes back to two things — clear expectations and engaged, capable teams.
At Stockland, I lead our safety strategy across Development and Investment Management, working closely with our leaders, sites and asset teams to build a proactive, risk‑based safety culture. A big part of my role is making sure our people understand what really matters — particularly around critical risk — and helping them build the skills and confidence to manage safety at the frontline every day. I work hand‑in‑hand with Group Risk and our project teams to strengthen our systems, simplify processes and make safety something people feel genuinely supported in, not burdened by.
Before joining Stockland, I held senior EH&S roles across Australia, the US, Europe and Asia, leading large teams and supporting some incredibly complex programs — from major regeneration developments in Kuala Lumpur to large property portfolios across Australia and high‑risk construction operations in the US and UK. I’m a Chartered Member of IOSH and have spent much of my career building leadership capability, coaching senior teams, and improving how organisations think about (and actually manage) risk.
What drives me is pretty straightforward: making safety practical, human and effective — something that helps people do great work, not slow them down. At the end of the day, the goal is always the same: everyone goes home safe, feeling supported, and knowing the work they’re doing is valued.
