Shruti Thomas
Shruti Thomas is a sustainability and climate resilience specialist focused on helping organisations, buildings and infrastructure strengthen their resilience to climate and operational risks. With a background in both architecture and engineering, she brings an integrated perspective - bridging technical data analysis with practical design and planning outcomes. She is particularly passionate about building resilience in social infrastructure, recognising that hospitals, schools, and civic spaces play a critical role in protecting communities especially vulnerable groups during and after climate events. Her experience includes vulnerability assessments and the development of resilience tools and frameworks across government and public sector portfolios and supporting organisations to move from understanding climate risk to delivering targeted, evidence-based adaptation strategies.
Shruti also contributes to industry leadership through her work with the Green Building Council of Australia’s Expert Resilience Panel, supporting the development of guidance on climate adaptation and resilience.
