Mark Beetson

NSW/ACT Manager - Indigenous and Social Inclusion, CPB Contractors

Mark Beetson is a proud Gubbi Gubbi man who also has ties to Wiradjuri in Western NSW, was born in Sydney on the lands of the Wallumedegal clan, and raised in Redcliffe. Qld (Murri country). Mark eventually found his way back to Sydney where he has built a successful career in the Construction and Infrastructure Sector working specifically on First Nations Engagement and participation.  Mark is committed to community development through procurement, training and employment, and has also invested in local and regional Aboriginal communities through empowering and inspiring young Aboriginal people through sport and leadership. Mark brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise and wisdom to CPB Contractors, having directly worked previously for Tier 1 Infrastructure leading organisations such as Baulderstone and Lendlease, along with strategic consultation for other Tier one organisations such as Multiplex, Laing O’Rourke and John Holland Group. Mark specialises in First Nations Participation, Consultation and Procurement of Indigenous Businesses in the Construction and the Infrastructure sector throughout Australia.

Working in the First Nations engagement space has allowed me to live my father’s legacy and continue the work he had taken on board being an Indigenous Ambassador to Centrelink (Service Australia). My father believed in empowering his mob through engagement and self-belief with the ability to be independent and strong. Working for great companies such as CPB Constructions in this space is allowing me to continue the important work that not only CPB Constructions supports in delivering, but also the work that my father thought so important to advocate for. By taking this journey, we have the ability to assist in creating our future leaders of community, and empower our communities for a redefined legacy in the future.
