WORKSHOP: From Disruption to Readiness: Applying AI to Defence & Industrial Logistics

30 Apr 2026
INTERNATIONAL CONSTRUCTION STAGE
Global logistics and supply chains are under growing pressure, from geopolitical shocks or crises and natural disasters to workforce constraints, sustainability demands, and complex multi-tier supplier networks. For defence and industry, these challenges boil down to a simple question: how do we maintain readiness and deliver capability when disruptions cascade through ports, transport corridors, suppliers, and maintenance systems? This session presents practical ways Artificial Intelligence (AI), including explainable and trustworthy AI, can strengthen end-to-end supply chain performance across planning, operations, and risk management. Drawing on multiple industry-driven applied case studies, this session will show how AI can improve disruption sensing and recovery planning, support port and maritime logistics decision-making, enhance asset sustainment through predictive maintenance, how the manufacturers and logistic service provides can cope with dynamic carbon policies while maintain relations with their global counterparts, and protect information-sharing across partners using secure digital approaches such as blockchain. The key message would be to achieve faster and more reliable logistics, better resource allocation, measurable resilience uplift, and decision transparency that builds operational confidence for leaders, sponsors, and stakeholders.
