Construction has spent years digitising drawings, models and workflows. The next challenge is connecting that information so it can actually make project teams more intelligent.

Building on Kapitol's model-first approach to project delivery, the session will explore the next evolution of digital construction — moving beyond coordination models towards connected project intelligence spanning design, programme, procurement, construction and field validation.

Using practical examples from complex live projects, I'll look at how we're increasingly modelling not only physical assets but the invisible requirements around them — including access, maintenance and clearance zones — and how we're beginning to think about connecting design changes to their downstream impacts across programme, procurement, cost and delivery.

I'll also explore why consolidating trusted project information becomes increasingly important as AI develops. Rather than treating AI as another standalone technology, the opportunity is enabling it to reason across connected project information and help our teams identify change, understand potential impacts and make better decisions earlier.
