NSW EV Charger Program Nears Finish Line

NSW EV Charger Program Nears Finish Line

Transport for NSW, in partnership with NRMA, is close to completing a $6 million initiative to install 25 additional electric vehicle (EV) chargers in regional areas. Funded equally by the NSW Government and NRMA, this program aims to promote cleaner travel, expanding NRMA's charging network to over 100 locations in NSW. These chargers, ranging from 50kW to 150kW, are strategically placed within 150km of each other, enhancing regional connectivity. Recent installations in northwest NSW and planned deployments in various other locations highlight the program's progress. The collaboration also includes an additional 25th site in Moruya by 2024. Moreover, the initiative aligns with the State Government's $10 million commitment to installing 3,000 EV chargers at tourist destinations under the Destination Charging Program, currently open for applications.
