The NSW Central Coast design competition was won by a consortium of Plus Architecture, Architecture AND, and Chrofi to transform a former shopping centre into a vibrant residential precinct. The winning design features 650 dwellings, ground-level retail spaces, public areas, and walkways connecting to Kibble Park with clear wayfinding for pedestrians. Chrofi led the civic plaza and tower one design, Plus Architecture designed towers two and three, and Architecture AND designed towers four and five. The collaborative effort aimed to reflect city evolution with diverse architectural expressions. The design focuses on city quality, community fostering, and sustainable living spaces with passive features and green initiatives. The next phase involves submitting a State Significant Development Application for the proposed Gosford Alive precinct on a 1.4-hectare site in Gosford, managed by Urbis for Universal Property Group with the jury chaired by Government Architect NSW.
