Alistair Read is a Senior Economist in the Research & Consulting team at Knight Frank Australia, where he leads analysis and forecasting across major property markets. He focuses on interpreting macroeconomic drivers, shaping national perspectives across property sectors, and analysing capital market trends. His recent work includes developing a model to assess the feasibility of new construction across Australia and the challenges developers face. Alistair has also published research on how changes in interest rates and commodity prices influence Australian house prices and the channels through which these effects occur.
