Ann Austin, is a visionary sustainability trailblazer in the property sector, with over 20 year’s experience in sustainability leadership roles. Her impressive career includes being Head of Sustainability for Lendlease Australia where she led transformative sustainability initiatives that were recognised in the 2023 Australian Financial Review’s Sustainability Leaders Awards.  Renowned in the sector, she has played pivotal roles in the formation of industry groups such as the Materials and Embodied Carbon Leaders Alliance (MECLA) and the Construction Industry Culture Taskforce (CICT).

In 2025 Ann joined ESG Strategy as a founding director, a boutique consultancy helping clients grow their sustainability skills and confidence to cut through the ESG noise to build sustainability strategy that works.

She has degrees in Architecture (Hons 1) from the University of Sydney and an executive MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management (University of NSW) and is a graduate of the AICD’s Company Director’s course. 

Ann is married to Mark and the proud mother of three fabulous children. She is a passionate swimmer and singer.
