Founder, Tradies In Sight

Tradies in Sight was founded in April of 2018 as a response to the need within the trade’s community for more support around mental health and wellbeing. The organisation was established and registered as a charity with the ACNC in June of 2018. We were granted DGR status the same year. Since that year our service has expanded outside the trade industry with a strong focus on young people.

We operate a drop in shed in Welchman St in Dubbo, manned by two counsellors, due to the generosity of the State Government. We have seen an average of 4000 drop ins per year for the last 4 years.

We have written a course designed to support people in managing their own mental health and wellbeing and we have delivered it to more than two thousand Tafe students in Dubbo and Orange NSW for the last four years.

In 2024 we expanded our service to the apprentices of Essential Energy as part of their wellbeing onboarding.
