With more than three decades of architectural experience, Darko has built a distinguished career in the construction industry, spanning architectural and urban design, project documentation, contract administration, site inspection and management, and extensive liaison with local authorities and governing bodies. For over 15 years, Darko has served in senior roles within residential development and construction corporations, working as a Design Manager and Principal Architect. These positions involved guiding complex developments from their earliest stages through to completion, balancing design integrity with commercial and practical considerations. In recent years, Darko has been predominantly focused on the construction side of the industry, applying extensive design and technical expertise to deliver high-quality built outcomes. Prior roles encompassed the full project lifecycle—feasibility studies, preliminary master planning, urban and architectural design, construction documentation, and product standardisation— ensuring cohesive and efficient project delivery. Earlier in the career, Darko was the Founding and Design Director of an architectural practice, leading projects across commercial, industrial, infrastructure, retail, and institutional sectors. This diverse foundation contributed to a broad understanding of design methodologies and project typologies. Darko’s architectural education was grounded in Bauhaus principles, a philosophy that has continued to influence design approaches throughout the career. This design ethos has been applied with notable success in recent residential projects currently under construction. Driven by a commitment to innovation and quality, Darko aims to leverage accumulated expertise to develop and implement new strategies and technologies that promote improved living standards and healthier environments, both at the macro and micro scale.
