Dr Catherine Sarah Young
Catherine Sarah Young, PhD is an interdisciplinary artist, writer, designer, and scientist whose work bridges art and science to explore pressing themes such as climate change, sustainability, the environment, and emerging technologies. Her thought-provoking projects aim to spark dialogue and raise awareness about critical global issues. Catherine has an international profile, with numerous fellowships, exhibitions, and speaking engagements. She was recognized by Earth.org in 2024 as one of the “10 Women Leading the Fight Against Climate Change” and is an Obama Leader for Asia-Pacific. She is currently an academic in UNSW School of Art & Design where mentors Master of Design students on capstone projects aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
