Sustainable Future Lead & Senior Researcher, Western Sydney University

Dr Ehsan Noroozinejad is a recognised leader in resilient, sustainable and smart construction, and a Senior Researcher at Western Sydney University’s Urban Transformations Research Centre (UTRC). With international experience including UBC Smart Structures (Canada), he advises industry and government on Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), housing delivery and low-carbon innovation, bridging research, policy and real-world deployment.

He collaborates with top-ranked universities worldwide, including the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London, to accelerate practical solutions for future-ready, climate-resilient cities. Dr Noroozinejad is the Moderator of the NSW Affordable Housing Network and co-leads multiple major national and international initiatives focused on smart, resilient construction and infrastructure transformation.

He has secured national and international funding to advance next-generation construction technologies and scalable pathways to address Australia’s housing and climate challenges. A regular media commentator, he has featured on ABC News, Sky News, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph and other leading outlets, and contributes to standards development through Standards Australia and international communities (including ISO and IEEE).
