Dr. Jessica Siva
Dr Jessica Siva is a Senior Lecturer in Construction Management at the University of Newcastle, specialising in project governance, leadership, and equity in the built environment. Her research explores how power, decision-making, and organisational culture shape inclusion, particularly for women in construction.
Jessica leads and contributes to a range of initiatives focused on embedding gender equity in practice, including industry partnerships, capacity-building programs, and research on women’s experiences and male allyship in construction. Her work moves beyond representation to examine how inclusive practices are sustained within complex project environments. She is also actively involved in international collaborations across Australia, India, and Europe, and contributes to advancing teaching and learning through innovative, industry-connected programs. Jessica is passionate about bridging research, education, and industry to support more inclusive and sustainable futures in the built environment.
