Dr. Jun Wang is a Senior Lecturer at Western Sydney University, specialising in the convergence of construction management, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. His research focuses on leveraging AI-driven solutions, Digital Twins, and BIM automation to enhance the accuracy, completeness, and usability of built environment data. A key area of his work is BIM model conditioning and enrichment, where he develops intelligent platform (i.e. MetaBIM) to transform unstructured and incomplete 3D model data into structured, validated, and enriched digital assets. Dr. Wang has an extensive publication record, including 100+ journal articles, 7 book chapters, and 20+ conference papers, with a Google Scholar h-index of 50 and over 11,000 citations. His expertise has been instrumental in securing competitive funding, serving as Chief Investigator on multiple ARC and CRC-P grants, and leading industry-driven projects that push the boundaries of BIM, automation, and data intelligence in construction and infrastructure management.
