Martin Stirling is the Passive Firestop Codes & Approval / Work Health &Safety Manager at Hilti Australia. Martin is a mechanical and materials engineer, and has worked in materials development, manufacturing and construction for three decades. He has worked with Hilti Australia since 2004 and has focused his career on bringing safer, more productive solutions to contractors in the building industry when installing fasteners & passive firestop products. He is also a non-executive director of the Battery Stewardship Council which is focused on improving fire safety and circular outcomes of Li-Ion batteries in society. Martin’s approach centers on collaboration throughout the entire value chain of construction, to achieve win-win outcomes for building productivity and safety.
