Elizabeth (Liz) King
Manager, Skin Cancer Prevention Unit,
Cancer Council NSW
As Manager of the Skin Cancer Prevention Unit at Cancer Council NSW, Liz leads a team focused on improving sun protection attitudes and behaviours and reducing skin cancer incidence in NSW. Through strategic advocacy, policy development, stakeholder engagement and the creation of supportive sun safe environments, the team aligns best practice health promotion theory and practice to their vision of making sun protection practices more normative in the settings where we live, learn, work and play. Liz is passionate about working collaboratively with other sector leaders - including education, sport and recreation, WH&S and healthy built environment professionals - to align the co-benefits of UV protection initiatives into shared practice.
