Crafted Hardwoods is my passion project and the culmination of my 28+ years of experience in the commercial furniture industry. I founded this company in May 2023 to bring a world-first, Australian innovation that turns low-value, juvenile plantation resources into high-grade hardwood with the look, feel, and properties of 100-year-old trees. Using nanoscale science, engineering, and advanced robotics, we are disrupting the traditional timber industry and creating a sustainable alternative for the Australian market.
My mission is to reduce the need for logging of old-growth, native forests and focus on plantation-grown timber that is environmentally friendly, socially responsible, and economically viable. As the director and chief sustainability officer of Crafted Hardwoods, I lead a team of dedicated professionals who share my vision and values. We are committed to giving back to our community, creating jobs, and improving our environment. I also leverage my credentials and competencies in business sustainability management, which I obtained from the University of Cambridge, to ensure that our operations and products adhere to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and ethics.
