James has more than two decades of experience working in Australia, the UK and the US, predominantly across the education, community and civic sectors. As a Studio Lead in education, he collaborates closely with clients, stakeholders and design teams from concept to delivery, producing architecture that is functional, sustainable and well resolved. He has delivered a number of award-winning projects focused on the reuse and adaptation of significant and underutilised buildings, including university projects in Sydney and New York, and Reddam House North Shore in Sydney, a state-of-the-art vertical school created through the adaptive reuse of a modernist commercial building.
