Joanne Andrade is a Registered Architect, Sustainability Lead, and low carbon specialist, passionate about decarbonising the built environment. She is driven by the need to balance a qualitative and quantitative approach to architectural design, to address climate change and the biodiversity crisis.

As an Architect, she has worked across a range of typologies including Commercial, Master planning, Education and Aviation sectors, spanning from site feasibility and early concept design through to contract administration. In her current role as National Sustainability Lead at COX Architecture, Joanne’s focus is on carbon reduction and circularity. She guides project teams through the low carbon landscape, through a combination of life cycle assessments, circularity assessments, and low carbon research.

Joanne graduated from the University of New South Wales with a specialisation in High Performance Architecture, and is a LEED accredited professional with US Green Building Council, WELL accredited with WELL Building Institute, and Living Future Accredited with the International Living Future Institute.
