Johan Tijssen has been a key figure in the development of the Hemp Building Industry in Australia over the last 15 years. His passion is designing simple, fast and efficient construction systems. He founded global company HempBLOCK International, where he developed hempcrete products, certification, patents, manuals and training programs to meet the growing interest and demand for truly sustainable building materials. Johan is passionate about protecting the planet for future generations and minimising the impact of traditional materials used throughout the construction industry.

His mission is to create sustainable, environmentally friendly - healthy homes around the world. HempBLOCK International provides a walling system and a seamless, fast, and straightforward building process, from initial design through to final construction.
