Statement: As an ambassador for Diversity in Construction at Sydney Build 2025, I’m proud to stand for a future where our industry is enriched by inclusion, empowered by diverse perspectives, and strengthened by equitable opportunity. At ZAMR Engineering, we believe that true engineering excellence comes from harnessing the full spectrum of human potential — regardless of background, origin, or pathway into the profession. As a migrant myself, and someone who has supported numerous skilled professionals from underrepresented communities, I’ve seen firsthand the power of creating space for new voices and untapped talent. Through my role as Managing Director at ZAMR Engineering, being founding Member of Sydney Migrant Engineers Group at Engineers Australia and Vice President of Pak-Aus Engineers Association, I actively mentor internationally trained engineers, facilitate workshops on job-readiness and selection criteria, and advocate for more inclusive hiring, training, and career pathways across infrastructure and construction. Diversity is not just a value — it’s a strategic advantage, and it’s how we build stronger teams, smarter solutions, and better outcomes for the communities we serve. I look forward to engaging with industry leaders, allies, and change-makers at Sydney Build 2025 to further the conversation and take action on building a more inclusive construction industry.
