Larissa Casassa
I am Larissa Casassa, 30 years old, a civil engineer by training, but I have been working in construction since I was 18. I am Brazilian, born and raised in São Paulo, and my native language is Portuguese; however, I also speak Spanish and English.
Throughout my career, I have worked with pavement maintenance, stormwater drainage systems, and building construction, and for the past five years I have been working at Acciona.
I worked at Acciona in Brazil for about three years on the Line 6 project in São Paulo, where I worked in the planning department, tunnel construction, and geotechnics. I joined the project as a planning technician and had the opportunity to grow within the company until I became a Civil Engineer.
Acciona has an international program called IXPA, focused on managing major projects and aimed at young professionals within the company. In 2022, I had the pleasure of taking part in the program, and at the end of 2023 I was offered the opportunity to transition my career to Acciona Australia on the HumeLink East project. I accepted the challenge and began working on the project in March 2024 as a Site Engineer.
Here in Australia, I first worked in the Construction department, and I currently work in Logistics and Stringing. My work location is on site, between the towns of Tumut, Yass, and Goulburn.
During my days off, I usually go to the beach, go to parties with friends, and play football.
