Leigh Fletcher

Member, Australian Hemp Council

Leigh has over 30 years of experience in agriculture, manufacturing, stakeholder and project management. 

His career has centered on water management, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of irrigation infrastructure, community consultation, and contract management.

During the past six years, Leigh has focused on developing expertise in the hemp industry. He has been instrumental in growing hemp crops, completing local hemp trials, and undertaking a hemp-building course. 

Over the last four years, he has dedicated himself to developing Murray Industrial Hemp (MIH). Sourcing investment, forging industry connections and partnerships to advance the hemp sector.

Leigh holds a Diploma in Project Management and has completed the AICD Directorship for Cooperatives and Mutual Enterprises (CMEs). 

Leigh has also been instrumental in establishing the Murray Plains Meat Cooperative, guiding it from concept to an operational business, and serving as company director.
