Leyly Farias
Leyly Farias is the founder of Last Strike, a Sydney-based initiative dedicated to mental health awareness, suicide prevention, and community support. With over 14 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry—starting at a time when women made up just a small fraction of on-site workers—Leyly has witnessed firsthand the pressures, culture, and silent struggles faced by tradespeople every day.
Now a qualified domestic violence counsellor, she combines real-world industry insight with professional counselling expertise to deliver practical, relatable support programs. Her work focuses on breaking stigma, encouraging open conversations, and providing accessible pathways to help—particularly in high-risk environments like construction.
Driven by personal experience and a deep commitment to making a difference, Leyly’s mission is simple but powerful: to ensure that every worker knows they matter, they are heard, and they are never alone especially in industries where speaking up is often the hardest step.
2026 Ambassador Statement
"Driving change and equality in construction isn’t just about fairness—it’s about building stronger, safer, and more productive teams. When every worker feels valued and heard, it creates a culture where people look out for each other, both on and off the job site. That shift can save lives, strengthen communities, and shape a better future for the industry."
