Liz is a UK-registered architect with has over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry, working for architectural firms in Australia and the UK. Early in her career she specialised in designing for people living with dementia, becoming an Associate with Stirling University, providing design training, reviewing buildings and advocating for better design standards for older people. In 2016 she moved to Australia after accepting a position with HammondCare's Capital Works team. With HammondCare she was involved in project delivery of new aged care homes, stakeholder engagement, critiquing and reporting on design, building a training website to educate staff, creating an in-house auditing system, and designing training for internal staff and external professionals. In 2022 Liz joined Constructive Dialogue Architects as a primary author for the National Aged Care Design Principles and Guidelines, and project architect for the design of care homes and major refurbishments.
