Maksym is a safety and security in design lead working with Bechtel Australia. With a background in risk management, security design and safety in design management, Maksym has worked across multiple sectors, including aviation, rail, power distribution and government with a focus on critical infrastructure. He has a passion for and extensive experience in leading safety in design programs to ensure safety is inherent in design, construction and operations on large and complex infrastructure. Maksym brings a new focus to safety risk management by emphasising safety during the design phase, with the aim to reduce downstream construction and operations risks. Fusing the disciplines of safety and security management, Maksym is passionate about making buildings, infrastructure and public spaces safer while improving safety and security culture and ensuring holistic and integrated safety risk management is implemented.
