The building and construction industry is ever changing with more information in the palms of our hands than ever before. Options to do it yourself with the guidance of professionals is growing and there's no denying the cost of living with many jobs being completed DIY. Our job should be to educate customers on sustainability, codes and correct methods of construction as ChatGPT does not always have the correct answer! Industry professionals need to be the ones people seek for advice, BCA related knowledge needs to be refreshed and this comes at a high cost currently and the changes are sporadic. This is why driving change towards better access to information is so important, we don't want Australian homes being non compliant because relevant information is harder than a Google search!
