Nigel is widely recognised as a leader in the transport infrastructure sector, known for his design intelligence and deep commitment to sustainability in the built environment. As Principal of Sustainability at Architectus, he champions integrating environmental and social sustainability goals across the entire project lifecycle.

With extensive experience spanning light and heavy rail projects across Australia, Nigel has collaborated with government, design consultants, and contractors on metro systems, interchanges, stations, traction substations, depots, stabling and maintenance facilities, and multi-storey car parks. Most recently, he led a large multidisciplinary team of technical advisors on the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport project, working closely with engineering disciplines and multiple stakeholders. Motivated by his belief that high-quality urban infrastructure is central to the future of sustainable cities, Nigel brings strategic vision, practical expertise, and a collaborative mindset to every project.

Nigel regularly shares his knowledge with the next generation of designers as a guest lecturer at the University of Sydney. He has actively contributed to industry advancement as a Property Council of Australia (PCA) NSW Sustainability Committee member and is a former co-chair of the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) NSW Division Sustainability Committee.
