Principal / Architect, OHA Design Workshop

Omar Ahmed is a Sydney-based architect [NSW Reg. 8908] and the founder of a design practice focused on residential architecture and environmentally sustainable design. A graduate of the University of New South Wales, Omar has worked with several renowned architectural practices, gaining extensive experience across a range of projects before establishing his own studio.

Omar is passionate about creating thoughtful architecture that responds to culture, climate, and context. He believes architects play a vital role in restoring the environment while celebrating humanity through meaningful and well-considered design. His work emphasises sustainability, community engagement, and the integration of architecture with the natural environment.

Beyond practice, Omar actively contributes to the architectural community through mentoring emerging graduates and participating in professional initiatives, including the mentoring program run by the Australian Institute of Architects. He has also mentored recent architecture graduates at the University of New South Wales, supporting the next generation of designers entering the profession.
