Paulo is the Government Architect NSW director responsible for the NSW Housing Pattern Book, State Significant Design Excellence Competitions, and the Sustainable Building SEPP. He has regularly chaired design advisory groups such as the City of Gosford Design Advisory Panel and over $7.5 billon of state significant design competitions. He is a registered architect, holds a Masters of Sustainable Built Environment and is a Fellow of the Australia Institute of Architects (AIA). Paulo is an Adjunct Professor of Practice at the University of Newcastle and in 2024, he was the recipient of the AIA National Leadership in Sustainability Prize.
