2026 Ambassador Statement: Dr Scott Skipworth researches the impact of the Internet of Things (IoT) on the embodied experience of the built environment, coining the terms ‘Disseminating Embodiment’ and 'Anthropomorphic Durée'. Scott is currently researching ‘Architectural community engagement with the Anthropomorphic Durée Manifesto tenets as aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #11 targets’. As a Program Director with the Design and Creative Technology faculty, he strives for the Built Environment suite of courses (Architectural Technology and Interior Design) at Torrens University Australia (TUA) to pulsate with industry relevance and to generate the future of professional practice. His academic leadership is informed by his PhD from TUA, his Master of Architecture from Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chicago, his Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Hope College in Michigan, and professional experience with influential New York City and Sydney studios.
