Shameer is a Civil Engineer specialized in Durability/ Materials assessment, material specification and failure analysis of concrete, steel, FRP and composite structures. Shameer has over 10 years of experience in academia, research and industry combined. As Durability/ Materials Engineer, Shameer has been involved in durability evaluation and condition assessment of a variety of projects such as rails, bridges, roads, water, utilities and offshore structures. Shameer has also worked as a Ph.D. researcher in the University of New South Wales, Australia. Shameer's academic journey has also included teaching at two international universities. His academic and professional career include design and analysis of conventional and ultra-high-performance concrete, steel, FRP and composite structures. He has published over 10 articles in the field of sustainable construction materials and presented his research in prestigious Australian and international conferences. Shameer prides himself on his ability to think critically with a high attention to detail, and to work effectively as a team player in a challenging environment
