Sohail Masoudi is the Founder and Design Director of BY SOMA, a Sydney based architecture and design studio known for creating timeless, human centred spaces inspired by nature, light, and material integrity. With over 15 years of industry experience across luxury residential, hospitality, commercial, and multi residential projects, he is recognised for an approach that brings together design vision, development intelligence, and a deep understanding of how architecture shapes the human experience.

His work is grounded in the belief that architecture shapes how we feel every day. Through light, proportion, flow, materiality, and connection to nature, Sohail focuses on creating spaces that support wellbeing, mental clarity, physical comfort, and a more meaningful way of living. His philosophy is that true luxury is not excess, but clarity, calm, and environments that elevate everyday life.

Alongside his design practice, Sohail also works across vision setting, global benchmarking, and design management for developments, helping shape projects from the earliest stages with a clear strategic and architectural direction.
