Dr Woojin Choi is an internationally recognised aviation and airport specialist with more than 30 years of experience across airport development, capacity planning, aviation strategy, and major infrastructure delivery. He holds a Ph.D. in Aviation from the United States, an Aerospace MBA from France, and is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (United Kingdom).

Dr Choi currently serves as Engineering Manager for Western Sydney Airport within the Bechtel Delivery Partner team, Asia-Pacific Aviation Lead for Bechtel, and Distinguished Technical Specialist for Aviation and Airport domain. He is also serving as a Visiting Professor at Korea Aerospace University.

Throughout his career, Dr Choi has contributed to 19 airport expansion and development projects across Australia, South Korea, Cambodia, Mongolia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, the UAE, France, and the United States. His experience spans the full project lifecycle, including project initiation, planning, design, procurement, delivery, commissioning, and terminal operations, with a particular focus on airport capacity expansion, infrastructure optimisation, and long-term development planning.

A recognised thought leader in aviation, Dr Choi has authored nine peer-reviewed journal research papers and two books covering airport process optimisation, simulation, machine learning, data analytics, and capacity modelling.
