Dr. Woojin Choi is an airport infrastructure specialist with over 29 years of global experience across aviation planning, design, delivery, and operations. He currently serves as a Resident Engineering Manager at Bechtel on the Western Sydney Airport project, where he led data-driven design and requirements management, engineering coordination, and handover process for the greenfield airport completed ahead of schedule.

Woojin combines advanced analytics and data science with hands-on EPC project management, applying techniques such as data mining, machine learning, optimisation, and scenario modelling to capacity planning, constructability, and operational readiness. His career spans key roles at Incheon International Airport, Samsung, Airbus, and global airport developments across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Europe.

Beyond industry practice, he holds a PhD in Aviation, has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on data science, machine learning, and cost optimisation, and serves as a Visiting Professor at Korea Aerospace University. As a Bechtel Distinguished Technical Specialist and AI Champion, he actively advances the application of data and analytics across complex infrastructure delivery and asset lifecycle management.
