Mental Health in Construction Ambassador Statement: Talking about mental health and challenging the stigma in the construction industry is crucial because it can save lives and improve overall workplace safety. The construction sector has one of the highest suicide rates among all industries, largely due to high-stress environments, long working hours, and a traditionally masculine culture that discourages emotional expression. By openly discussing mental health issues, we can create a more supportive work environment, encourage early intervention, and ultimately enhance productivity and well-being for all workers in the field.
