Annabel is a designer, writer, and Senior Associate in Architecture at Hassell Sydney. Annabel recently relocated from London where she held the role of Associate Principal at Grimshaw Architects, and was named a RIBAJ rising star 2020. She has extensive experience leading major commercial and infrastructure projects in Australia, the UK, and the Middle East.
In London Annabel was a committee member for the British Council for Offices, focusing on advancing discussions around the future of workplace, and was the team leader of The Dynamo, the winning submission for the international BCO Future of Work Design Competition.
She is also a contributor to publications such as ArchDaily and the Australian Design Review, reflecting on contemporary architectural practice, and contributes to research on the ‘circular economy in commercial development’ through her work with the EU funded Circuit Initiative.
As a founding director of Scale Rule, a community interest company of architects and engineers, she leads community engagement programmes and construction projects encouraging diversity in the architecture, engineering, and building industries.
