Dario is a Principal at Architectus and works across several architectural sectors.  He currently leads the Architectus team on Lendlease’s 248m tall Circular Quay Tower, when complete it will be Australia’s tallest commercial tower. He worked closely with Foster + Partners on their competition winning scheme in 2016 and continues working with them on its detail design and delivery.  He also leads the Architectus team working on the unique David Adjaye-designed George Street Community Building.  In 2019 he led Architectural & Urban Design for the Scoping and Definition Design phase of Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport (SMWSA) which located 6 metro stations and identified their typologies along a 23km alignment running between St Marys and the Aerotropolis, via the new International Airport.  This work supported the EIS submission and is visible on Metro’s website.  This project was proceeded by feasibility design work undertaken for the federal government to investigate how rail could be brought to and integrated into the future airport terminal and airport business park.  Last year he led design for the Concept Design phase of SMWSA which developed detailed reference designs for all stations and facilities.  Along with his leadership responsibility on significant Sydney projects, Dario also participates in the monthly and weekly design reviews of projects undertaken in Architectus studios across the country.

With over 26 years of experience, Dario has worked on numerous multi award-winning national and international projects across commercial, rail, aviation, residential, hospitality, education, sport, public, aged care and master planning.   Significant projects include Sydney Olympic Stadia, Heathrow Terminal 5 London, Barclays Bank Canary Wharf London, Epping to Chatswood Rail Link, Barangaroo Masterplan, ANZ Headquarter Building (Docklands Melbourne), A380 Gates Sydney Airport.  On graduation in 1996 he received the prestigious Mitchell, Giurgola and Thorp (MGT) Traveling Scholarship for Design which facilitated a 6 year period in London working with HOK and Richard Rogers Partnership (now RSHP) – knowledge acquired during these formative years has shaped and influenced his career and work.
