Julie Niass
Working closely with each project lead, Julie leads the studio’s interior design process, developing the living layers that connect a home to its occupants and define individual spaces.
She has a deep interest in domesticity at all scales; how it informs how people live and acts as the starting point for all good city-making. Initially drawn to architecture through a love of both maths and art, Julie spent a significant period working in London, developing her design sensibilities while immersed in one of the world’s great cities.
Julie’s love of nature and passion for the environment fuel a commitment to sustainable design that goes hand-in-hand with the human-centred design philosophy developed through her multi-faceted education in both architecture and psychology. Her belief in architecture’s power to create meaningful change in people’s lives extends to an emphasis on the responsibility of designers to drive discourse regarding how we can live, design, and build more sustainably.
