General Manager, DLG Shape

DLGMichael is currently General Manager of DLG Shape which is a majority Aboriginal owned Construction Company operating nationally throughout Australia. Michael is a proud Birirpi/ Worimi man with both Aboriginal Australian and Greek heritage.

Michael graduated from UTS with Bachelor of Building (Construction Economics) and has been working as a Quantity Surveyor with Tier one consulting firms, Developers and Builders for over 25 years.

He has been heavily involved with the Quantity Surveying profession globally serving as NSW and National President for the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS) as well as their CEO for 4 years.

He also has a strong passion for sustainability and worked for several years with the Green Building Council of Australia both as a volunteer and as a senior executive.

His recent work in the Indigenous space included acting as the representative for over 500 descendants of the Cook Family in Gloucester in successfully stopping the Rocky Hill Coal Mine in their appeal in the NSW Land and Environment Court.
