On 11 September 2020 the Australian Government announced it would establish the $50 million Business Events Grants program. This program is funded under the $1 billion Relief and Recovery Fund which is providing assistance to sectors, regions and communities disproportionately affected by the economic impacts of COVID-19.
Sydney Build Expo 2021 has been approved to be part of the Business Events Grants Program. You can download the full list of approved events from Austrade here.
All bookings for exhibition space / sponsorship after 5th January 2021 are eligible to apply for a grant of up to 50% from Austrade. Details below correct as of 05/01/21.
Closing date for applications to be received by Austrade: 30 June 2021 05:00 PM AEDT. (previous deadline was 30th March, Austrade have extended the grant application deadline to the 30 June 2021)
Application detail: This program is demand driven and will be open until all funding has been allocated.
What do you get? The grant amount will be up to 50 per cent of eligible project expenditure (grant percentage).
- The minimum grant amount is $5,000. (Previously the was minimum $10,000 this was reduced by Austrade)
- The maximum grant amount is $250,000.
Who is this for? Australian businesses including sole traders.
